10 for 10 Campaign

As discussed at our spring Voter’s Assembly, on Sunday, September 14 we will begin our 10 for 10 Campaign” at Trinity. This stewardship campaign will focus on “time”, “talents” and “treasures” and we will encourage everyone associated with Trinity to increase their current level in all three avenues during a 10 week period. We will give thanks collectively for a successful campaign with the Thanksgiving dinner (Sunday November 23).

We often hear that stewardship involves Time, Talents, and Treasures. This campaign will focus on all three.

Some ideas:

Time: If we consider that many of us have a 40-hour work week, then consider spending 10% of that time, or 4 hours per week, in worship, Bible study, and/or devotion. We plan on adding small group studies, prayer vigils, and other opportunities during that time.

Talents: We would ask the congregation to join a board, committee, choir, community charity, etc for a 10-week period. If one already belongs to such a group, then try joining one additional group for the 10-week period. (Examples: one might join the choir for 10 weeks, or join the Board of Trustees for 10 weeks.) Our boards and committees will provide
each member with a list of opportunities in which to participate.

Treasures: We would ask the congregation to consider “giving back” to God, 10% of their income over this 10-week period. If that is not possible, then members may consider increasing what they currently give by 10% for this period.

We strongly believe that this is a “spiritual growth” exercise and we will be individually and collectively blessed by doing so. We also feel this program is in line with our Strategic Ministry Plan (SMP) and will help us focus on others and what God has given to us.

Please, help make this a campaign with 100% participation among our congregation!
